Have you ever looked into your eyes in a mirror and said to yourself “I love you”? This is a very powerful tool for discovering the limiting beliefs that hold you back from manifesting what you want in life. When you love yourself, the universe will love you back and help you to create what you want. When you live your life from fear, the universe will mirror back fear and make it more challenging to create what you want.
Take a moment now to look in a mirror. Look into your eyes in the mirror and say “I love you” to yourself. Is it easy? Is it difficult? If you’ve done a lot of your work on yourself, you can probably say it, feel it, and believe it. Otherwise, you will probably hear a voice inside negating the “I love you.” It may tell you things such as, “How can I love myself when… I’m ugly. I’m stupid. I’m old. I’m unlikeable. I’m [fill in the blank
Keep telling yourself “I love you”, over and over again and keep listening without judgment. Once you can see yourself with eyes of love, everyone around you will be able to see you that way too. If these is anyone who doesn’t love you as much as you love yourself, they will simply fade out of your life. You will not be able to tolerate having people in your life who don’t love you as much as you love yourself. They won’t be able to handle your new boundaries. It’s not a reflection on them. It’s all about you and what reflection you want to see when you look in the mirror. Each person is unique and can create the reflection that is best for them.
Over time, you can move on to telling yourself other things while looking in the mirror. “I am beautiful. I am prosperous. I am powerful. I am worthy of love. I am successful. I am grounded. I am passionate. I trust myself. I believe in myself…”
Listen to everything that comes up that negates the affirmation. Tell the voice inside of you, “That’s really fascinating. Thank you for sharing your opinion.” Think about what you hear and decide if that’s what you want to believe. Think about who might have originally told you the story that you are telling yourself. Tell that person (or people) the same thing, “That’s really fascinating. Thank you for sharing your opinion. I’m going to believe something else.”
Don’t start this process unless you are truly ready to change. The more you shift your beliefs, the more your life will change. Whether you are wanting to make shifts in your relationships, financial situation, career, or anything else in your life, the first step begins with loving yourself and letting go of the blocks that you keep from this love.
